pray the Holy Spirit TRGN

A lot of people asked me that question: can we have a relationship with the Holy Spirit as with God or Jesus?

Yes absolutely, not only we can but we have to if we want to move forward in the power of the Gospel.

There is no passage in the Bible that says it in a direct way, but on the other hand there are many passages which show that the Holy Spirit has a personal relationship with us. So, it is hardly conceivable that the Holy Spirit (who is God, as Jesus is also God), could have a “one way” relationship with us...

Many take the fact that Jesus never prayed the Holy Spirit when He was on earth. What is quite normal, when we know that Jesus and God the Father were one. During the ministry of Jesus on Earth, the Holy Spirit had not yet been given, that's why no human being could have a personal relationship with Him.

If we look at:
John 7: 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

The Holy Spirit is God in spirit who comes to dwell in us. In fact, He is the only person of the Trinity who is here with us on Earth. God and Jesus are in heaven. His wish is to team up with us. He teaches us, creates our life circumstances, He releases the power of God in the name of Jesus by our words and our hands, etc. and above all He gives us and makes possible this communication of power with God that we need.

Jesus had this perfect relationship with His Father, He said:
John 14:10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.
John 14:11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.

Jesus had this perfect relationship with God because God was in Him, and Him in God. Because of that He had no need to have this relationship with the Holy Spirit of God, because He already had God in Him. The Holy Spirit is there to make this link between God and us, but Jesus didn't need this link, because the Father as a whole was already in Him because He was the son, without any sin.

In regard to the Apostles. They were not born again yet, because the cross had not yet occurred (Jesus was not glorified yet). It's only later, after Pentecost that the Holy Spirit had been given to them.
In fact God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are strictly equal, they are all three God, they have simply taken a different form, to help us to better know our Father.

A good image to help us would be this one:
God is like ice
Jesus is like snow
The Holy Spirit is like steam
All three have a different form, but the three are water. All three are God just in a different form.

Every power that is written about in the new Covenant is conditioned by the presence of the Holy Spirit. It is He who pours out the power of God in all situations, He announces, manages things.

Acts 13:2 As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

Acts 13:4 So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus.

Acts 15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things:

2 Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.

Jude 1:20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

It is clear in these few passages that the Holy Spirit spoke to the Apostles. If the Holy Spirit speaks to me, then I must answer Him for a dialogue. I don't think any team with the Holy Spirit could be established without a mutual dialogue with Him. We see here that He "speaks openly", "He Sent", «It seems good to Him...» "", "Jude told us to pray in Him"… He communicates with us.

We have exactly the same relationship with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, because all three are God, all three are a same different person. In any case no passage shows that we should not talk to the Holy Spirit, but that He wants this relationship with us, because we are the first to benefit from it.

So don't deprive yourself anymore of this relationship with the Holy Spirit, He wants more than anything to have this relationship of love and power with you. Talk to Him exactly as you talk to God or Jesus, start today this personal relationship with Him, get to know Him.
